mHealth: Smartphone Diagnostic Tools – What is out there for 2014?

Mobile Health (mHealth) is “a term used for the practice of medicine and public health, supported by mobile devices” (Wikipedia).  As I combed the Internet it struck me that there is no single source to go to learn about emerging tools… tools that should play a vital role in healthcare’s changing landscape.

I must have scanned dozens of articles… many on apps but few on devices. Few spoke directly to successful uses of this mHealth technology.  I began to make a list of various apps and diagnostic tools, simply for my own knowledge base.

Thought I would share my list with readers and solicit additions, comments… and hopefully stories about successful use.  I am not just looking for software, but for hardware tools that are used with smartphones, iPhones, iPads, or tablets. I am looking for diagnostic tools that extend the reach of physicians and healthcare providers.  Please share anything you are aware of being used successfully.

Disclosure: I am not affiliated with any of these companies.
